Claude skills & mods

Vas Skillz

The skills and mods I’ve built for Claude: what each one does, the problem it solves, and how to start it.

Write the process down once. Get the same good result every time.

What skills and mods are

A skill is a folder of written instructions, with any scripts and templates it needs, that Claude loads when a task matches it. A mod is a small program that runs inside Claude Code and reacts to what happens there, such as a file being saved, a session starting, or a command being typed.

Seen from four sides, they solve four kinds of problem:

Creative & artistic

A studio technique you write down once

My look, my voice and my layouts live in the skill, so every notebook, chart and page comes out consistent. Repeat work stops eating the time I want for making things.

Autistic & neurodivergent

Clear steps, no hidden rules

Every step and expectation is written out, so the output is predictable and I don’t hold the whole process in working memory or switch between tools. Skills that ask for feedback learn my preferences instead of a default.

Product

One job, one trigger, one result

Each skill does one job: you know when it starts, what it needs and what it hands back. This page is the catalog of those jobs, so anyone can find the right one.

Software engineering

Versioned instructions plus event hooks

Skills are plain files in git: reviewable, testable, and loaded only when needed. Mods are hooks on Claude Code events (tool calls, session start, slash commands) that handle the routine work between them.
